Dr. Kim Carter-Tillman appeared on KTLA this month as Nexstar’s Remarkable Woman of 2025, and she came with a direct ask: fund the work that’s already proven effective.
The Numbers Don’t Lie
23 years. 5,000 people housed. 357 children reunited with their mothers. 250 businesses launched through BBOP Center in just two years. 3,827 jobs created or retained.
“Mothers who were once counted out, babies on foster care adoption waiting lists, are now permanently housed. Homeless women transitioning into homeownership. Jobless women now running businesses employing others. That’s innovation,” Dr. Carter told KTLA viewers.
Why This Media Hit Matters
When you get recognized as a Top 10 CNN Hero, win the James Irvine Leadership Award, share a stage with Sharon Stone at the Game Changer Awards, and then land on KTLA as a Remarkable Woman of 2025, you use that platform to say what needs to be said: we need resources to keep doing what we’re doing.
The track record is there. The results are validated. We now need funding to match the vision.
Watch the whole segment and see what 23 years of impact looks like, and why it deserves your support.
