What happens when you mix vision, grit, and opportunity? You get a powerful spark of innovation—and that’s exactly what we witnessed at the inaugural BBOP x Entrepreneur High School Innovation Pitch Competition on May 28, 2025.
Hosted at Entrepreneur High School in Highland, this groundbreaking event brought together a diverse community of student founders, local entrepreneurs, business leaders, and educators to spotlight the next generation of innovators. Seven bold student teams took the stage to pitch their real-world business ideas—ranging from trauma-informed childcare to tech-enabled safety training—competing for funding, mentorship, and a chance to build their business alongside seasoned entrepreneurs.
The energy in the room was electric. Finalists impressed the crowd with purpose-driven ventures like:

Oya Femtech Apparel Inc. (Mitch Gilbert) – First-place winner of $5,000 and a BBOP Grow membership. Their breathable, antimicrobial sportswear is HSA/FSA approved and designed for menstruating bodies.

PADI (Titilope Olotu) – Second-place honoree for their innovative, eco-friendly menstrual pads made from banana agrowaste and infused with healing herbs.

Amazing Family Child Care Learning Center (Sharon Doyle) – Trauma-informed childcare using tech-driven tools and mental health strategies.

FeaturesFirst Auto (Lisa Bailey) – Safety training through microlearning and 3D explainer videos.

Same Day Embroidery (Erasmo Robles) – Rapid custom apparel using centralized, on-demand tech.
Each student-led team received $250 in seed funding and the opportunity to incubate their business at the BBOP Center, a place built for big dreams and bold moves.
“This event wasn’t just about competition—it was about confidence, creativity, and community,” said Kim Carter, BBOP Co-Founder. “We witnessed the brilliance and resilience of our youth and affirmed that the Inland Empire is fertile ground for the next wave of business leaders.”
